Long day. Up early, drove to Philmont, finally here! Bus had a flat tire just shy of the main camp, hope it's not a metaphor for our trip. Jane, our Ranger, seems to be really good at what she does and at handling the boys. Two good meals here, and training before services and campfire. Services had to compete with an evening thunderstorm, and weather reports say more on the way tomorrow and Wednesday.
Tomorrow we shakedown and start hiking. Now that it's here, I feel a little anxious of all that's in front of us. I put it all in God's hands tonight, that He shows the way. That, and a whole lot of walking, are all I can really do. Up early tomorrow, and off we go…
